In a Nutshell

This role reports directly into the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the ELT, Executive Leadership Team. The Managing Director is responsible for managing and growing the business line in the UK. The role requires an exceptional leader to drive the company’s strategic vision in country, is accountable for business development, client relationship management and project and service delivery within the UK business, including all day-to-day client interactions.

Responsibilities

  1. P&L responsibility comprising revenue and all localised operating costs
  2. Day to day management and execution of the business line in the country
  3. Implementation of the strategic vision locally; taking direction and guidance from central functions, in particular Growth and Operations, in defining, shaping and developing the UK business line
  4. People management - responsible for leading, coaching and developing the UK management team and resourcing, directing and supervising the activities of UK employees
  5. Working in collaboration with and sharing practices with MDs in other regions/ countries
  6. Expanding client relationships via upsell and expansion and driving retention initiatives to optimise net promoter scores.
  7. Driving ARR growth in the UK focusing on expanding logo share through new bookings
  8. Executing on project and service delivery to meet client expectations and service levels
  9. Providing market insights and strategic input to the ELT including industry, market and competitor changes and influences
  10. Maintain positive and trusted relationships with partners, industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  11. Implements and administers company policies locally

Key Skills

Proven experience as a general or country manager or other senior managerial position

Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans

Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company

High degree of self-motivation and a proven ability to drive team performance

Independent, entrepreneurial mindset, good social skills

Proven track record of exceeding performance targets

Experience in Enterprise B2B SaaS is an advantage

Energy industry experience is an advantage

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent organisational and leadership skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

Fluency in English is mandatory, other languages are an advantage
