We’re hitting the streets of Nottingham to take part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon to raise money for MIND.

ENSEK are excited for our latest charity event, running Nottingham’s 13.1 mile Robin Hood Half Marathon next month. On Sunday 29th September 2019, over 20 of our colleagues have entered (including some of our Senior Leadership Team) to run alongside 13,000 other eager participants. But why are ENSEK taking on this up-hill challenge? We will be running in support of MIND, the mental health charity.

Why MIND?

In 2019, MIND, was chosen by our employees as our main charity. As a company we feel very strongly about mental health and improving the support provided to those suffering with it. We have worked hard collectively to raise awareness and money for MIND, as they estimate that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. Therefore, our donations help to support them eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and helps them to continually provide valuable information and ensure it is accessible to all.

If you would like to donate, please visit our fundraising page here. Your donations in support of us, but more importantly, MIND would be hugely appreciated!

Exercise, the miracle drug?

We are all aware of the physical benefits there are of running but many advocate the benefits for your mental health as well - Some may say it’s addictive too! It’s been great to see the exercise bug spread around the offices and a rise in the workforce moral since training began.

What we’ve already achieved in support of MIND

As supporters of MIND, in 2019 we have held several events so far to raise money for the charity. We set ourselves the target of at least 4 events and are delighted to say that we’ve already achieved this owing to our colleagues’ joint effort and passion for giving back. So far, we are proud to have raised an astonishing £3473 through hosting local quizzes, raffles and smaller internal events.

Mental health and well-being are on ENSEK’s agenda, and we hope it’s on yours.

Thanks again if you have taken the time to donate on our fundraising page. If you have not already and are interested, you can find the page here. Together, we are one step closer to ensuring all those suffering with mental health are supported with MIND’s help.

Thank You!
